日に日に痩せていくエルザ
Elza is growing thinner and thinner every day.

左顎の腫れも大きくなっている

The lump to the left of her chin is growing

パクパク食べていたごはんも今は完全に流動食

The food she used to chow down on is now completely a liquid diet.

量も半分くらいしか食べない

She only eats about half of what she should

薬はごはんに混ぜていたけど食べてくれない事には薬もあげられない

I was mixing in the medicine into her food, but if she doesn't eat, I can't give her medicine,

口を開けさせて喉の奥に押し込むなんて今の状態では無理

nor can I forcefully open her mouth and stick it down her throat.

せめてもの救いは呼吸が安定していること

At least her breathing is stable

すやすや眠っている横顔を見るとガンであることがウソみたい

By the way she sleeps at night, you would never believe she has cancer

腫瘍がある子特有のにおいが家中に広がる

The smell that only an animal with cancer has fills the house

嗅覚の鋭い犬たち、このにおいをどう感じているんだろう

I wonder how the dogs are feeling about it with their sensitive noses

不安を感じるのか、それとも不快なのか・・・

Do they feel uneasy or uncomfortable?

特別今までと変わった様子はないけど

They haven't changed much up till now,

だからといって何も感じていないわけではないと思う

but that doesn't mean they don't feel any worth

どうか最後の時までエルザが苦しむことがありませんように

I pray to God that Elza isn't suffering until the end.
