日曜大工が得意なパパさんと、「ポルが心を開いてくれた夢」を見るほどポルの到着を待ち望んでくださったママさん。
His new daddy is quite the handyman, and his new mommy couldn't wait for him to come home so much that she said she's was dreaming of him opening up his heart to them.

パパさんは早速ポルのためにリビングに「ポルコーナー」を作ってくださいました。
Daddy immediately made "Paul's Special Corner" for their living room.

食器台まで全て手作り！素晴らしい♪( ´θ｀)ノ Even the food table was hand-made!

ビビリっこのポルですが、今では膝の上で甘えるようになったそうです。
Paul's quite the scaredy-cat, but he warmed up to them nicely and is cuddling them on their laps, it seems.

１頭飼いでのびのびと生活してパパとママの愛情を独り占め。幸せだね。本当に良かった。
パパさん、ママさん、ポルをどうぞよろしくお願いします。
Since he's their ownly dog, he's going to live like a king with all of their attention. How happy, I'm so glad.

そしてこちらは2月に保護したローラ。
And now, here's Laura, who I started taking care of in February.

不妊手術と乳腺の切除も無事終わり、乳腺に関しては良性の乳腺腫という結果が出て安心したのですが…
She's been safely spayed and had her mammary glands removed, and I was relieved to hear that the tumor in her mammary gland turned out benign. But...

一向に体重が増えず毛も生えてこない She's not gaining any weight, and her fur's not growing back
食欲はすごいし、実際に今食べている量は体重6㎏相当の子の量(ローラは2.9kg）
急に下痢をすることもあったのでゴハンはグレインフリーの魚系を数種類ローテーションで。不妊手術の時に歯石の除去もして口の中はキレイになったけど、歯茎の炎症が引かないし、相変わらず口臭が強い😭
なぜだーーーーーー？？
She has a crazy appetite and eating the amount a 6 kg dog would now (she's only 2.9 kg).
She's also suddenly gotten diarrhea, so I've decided to give her a few types of grain free, fish-based food in rotation. When I got her spayed, I also had them remove her tartar, so the inside of her mouth is all nice and clean now, but her gums are still inflammed, and her breath is still terrible.
WHYYYYYYYYYY?? 😭


実は今までにもこういったケースがありました。
あんな、ライラ、メルモ…
この子たちに共通するのは
・繁殖犬（台メス）だったこと
・元気で食欲があってたくさん食べるのに体重が増えない
・毛が生えてこない
・貧血
・各種検査をしても「これだ！」というものが見つからない
・何の前触れもなく突然逝ってしまうこと
To tell the truth, I've had a case like this before.
Lyra, Melmo...
What these kids have in common are:
・Puppy mill dogs used for breeding (female)
・Lack of weight gain, even if they have large appetites and are eating
・Hair won't grow back
・Anemia
・Despite all the testing, not finding anything conclusive to explain their condition
・Passing away without any warning

この子たち、食に対する執着はすごかった。食器の音や食べ物の匂いに異常なほど反応して尋常じゃない感じがしたな。
These babies were all quite obsessed with food. As soon as they heard the clatter of dishes and smelled the food, they would react in a way that was most peculiar, to the extent that I would just be thinking, "This is not normal."

今回、ローラの受診の時に先生が「これは野澤病だね」って。症状や検査の結果が教科書通りじゃなくて全く原因がわからない、他の患者さんでは見ない症例だって。
ちょっとちょっと、冗談でもやめてくれ！別に私が病気にしているわけじゃないんだから（怒）名前をつけるなら『繁殖犬病』でしょ！シャレにならんわ、まったく😡😡😡
This time, the doc diagnosed her with "Nozawa Disease"--meaning that no textbook could explain the conditions or test results, and we have no idea what the cause is, a series of symptoms found in no other patient. Ok, hold up, cut the jokes! It's not like I'm making them sick!
Grrrr! If we're going to put any name to it, it's Puppy Mill Disease! This is no time for puns. 😡😡😡

今回はホルモン検査をしました。アジソン疑いです。ある意味、「アジソンで確定すれば」という気もします。対処することができるからね。（薬代が半端ないんだけど…）
でも、これでまた何も出なかったら…打つ手がないよな
We also tested her hormones this time, and I suspect Addison's disease. In a way, I'd feel relieved to definitively say, "Yes, ok, it's Addison's!" because we can treat that. (It'd cost an arm and a leg in medicine, though...) However, no definitive test results came out, so there's nothing we can do.

エコーで確認できる副腎にできていると思われる腫瘤が影響しているものと思われます。
今後、検査をいくつかする予定です。
We don't see any of the expected weight gain or hair regrowth after treating the scabies.
This may be an effect of the tumor on the left adrenal grand that came up in the ultrasound. We plan on continuing examinations.

うちに来て5日目、嘔吐があったので受診したところ腹部のエコーで子宮蓄膿症が疑われる。
診療が終わり次第手術することになり入院。夜、術前の血液検査でBUN,CRE,Kが上がっていて手術が出来なくなる。BUNを下げる処置が始まる。「手術しないわけにいかないのでリスクは有るが下がったところを見計らって手術をします」と告げられる。
5 days after coming home with me, she stared vomiting. I took her to the hospital and she had Ultrasound. result...Pyometra.
They scheduled surgery that night, but the blood test before the surgery show that her BUN, CRE, and K levels had all risen,making surgery impossible.They began treatment to lower BUN levels. I was told that even this was risky , since we can't perform surgery, but as soon as they're at a safe, lower levels,we can do surgery.


入院3日目、BUNが下がったので今夜手術をすると連絡がある。
夜、主治医から連絡「子宮はきれいでした」えっ???開けてみたら腎臓がパンパンになっていて尿管まで腫れていたと…腎盂腎炎でした。左の腎臓を摘出しました。先生も予想外の展開で驚いていました。でも、膀胱炎だったり結石があったわけじゃないんだけどな・・・
3 days into hospitalization, I was contacted saying BUN levels had lower and surgery was now possible.
That night the head physician contacted me saying that her uterus was clean.WHAT???
When they opened it, her kidneys were bulging  and she had inflammation all the way down to her urinary duct... she had pyelonephritis. They removed the left kidney, and even the doctor was surprised at the unforeseen event. However, it at least wasn't like she had bladder inflammation or calculus(a concentration of minerals inside the body)...


術後1週間で退院のお許しが出て、今は自宅で輸液をしながら様子を見ています。
食欲もあり、元気も出てきました。
She got permission to leave the hospital one week after surgery, and I'm now watching over her transfusion at home. She has an appetite and becoming active.


あの現場に残っていたら間違いなく命を落としていた
治療が遅れていたらきっと助からなかった（先生はダメかもしれないと思っていたらしい）
キミはとても運に恵まれた強い子なんだね。大丈夫、あとは幸せになるだけだよ。
If I had just left her there, she certainly would have died-there is no doubt about it.
If treatment had been even a little bit late, help would have been futile.(Even the doctor was thinking it may be impossible to save her.)
You are a strong, lucky girl. It's alright now-all that's left is to be happy.




11月のレスキューと合わせて総勢18頭の新入り君たち。
毎度のことですが、年齢や体調などからなかなか募集のできない子が多いです。
今のところ募集ができるのは今回レスキューのポメとチワワ（白）、前回のヨーキー2頭の計4頭のみ。もはや完全に老犬、看取りホームだな・・・。それでもいいかなと思う今日この頃。里親探しで使うエネルギーを老犬や看取りの子の看病に使いたい。もちろん、元気で健康上の問題がない子は素敵な里親さんとの縁をつかんで欲しい。シェルター犬ではなく家庭犬としてのんびりな生活を楽しんでほしいからね。
I got a total of 18 new kids from my November rescue. It's the same every time. many of them can't find homes because of their age or health. There is a total of 4 dogs from this round that are currently up for adoption.-the Pomeranian and white Chihuahua from this round, and the 2 Yorkies from last time. So basically, I'm also running a nurse the old and sick. Of course I still hope the healthy and active kids who have no problem find their forever homes. I want them to be able to live to the fullest as real dogs, not just shelter dogs.

余裕があるといっても人手があるわけではないし金銭的にもねぇ(^_^;)

だから2頭だけって固く決めていったんだけど、結果は・・・

She had feces tangled all throughout her matted fur.
I didn't know where I should begin with her.

こんな風にバリカンで少しづつ毛玉をとっていったら中から蛆が・・・

Once I started shaving with clippers, maggots coming out.

そしてこれは⑦のチンチラにできていた腫瘍

部屋（小屋?）に入った途端に腐敗臭とでもいうかおかしな臭いがしてものすごい数のハエが

ぶんぶんしててなんかヤバそうだなと思ったらコレでした

As soon as I entered the room(or should I say the hut?) I was overwhelmed by this horrid smell of something putrid, flies buzzing all over the place.

Then I found this.

「業者からのレスキューは業者を助けることになる」

「レスキューしてケージが空けばそこにまた犬が入る」

って意見があります。

"Rescuing the animals from the puppy and cat mill operators actually helps the operators"
"As soon as you rescue one, a new dog put into the very same cage"


言ってること解らなくはない。

でも、そこにいる犬や猫は好きでそこにいるわけじゃない。

そこにいる子達には選択肢なんてない、

人間の欲のためにボロボロにされて用済みになれば情け容赦なく廃棄される。

ケージが空くから犬を入れる？違いますね。

空きがなければ空きを作るんです。彼ら独自の方法で。

だからこそ命あるうちに助けたいんです。

It's not that I don't get all these opinions,but it's not like the dogs and cats in there are choosing to be there. They have no choice.
They are being beaten down out of the greed of humans and turned into objects for use.
And once they're use is all gone, they're mercilessly disposed of.
"The dog is in there because the cage is empty"
NO,this is wrong.
If the cage isn't empty, then they'll find a way to make it empty.
It's THEIR WAY of doing things
That's way I want to save them while they still have a chance-while they're still alive.


センター収容の子たちの中にも明らかに業者の遺棄と思われる子がいますが、そういう子を引き取ると業者のしりぬぐいといわれ、業者からレスキューすれば助けているといわれる。

ひどい場合は「業者の下請けしてる」とまで言われます。
Among the poor babies who were in an animal management center, there clearly ones that were abandoned by the operator.
You may think by saving them from the operator, I'm really saving his own ass-pardon the language. Some may even take it to extremes and claim I'm essentially subcontracting with him.



10人いれば10の考えがある。
同じモノを見ていても見る角度が違えば見えるものも違ってくる。
If you ask 10 people what they think, then you get 10 different opinions.
Even if we're all looking at the same thing, we all see it from different angle, and therefore see it differently.

廃業しない限り業者からのレスキューはしないというのも一つの考え方。個人の信念でそうするのは結構だけど、自分の信念を盾に違う考え方の人を批判、非難することはやめていただきたい。
また、ネット上で得た情報と先入観だけで実際に活動している人たちを非難、批判するのもやめていただきたいです。
Some people think that the only way to save them is rescuing  them only after the operator goes out of business.If you personally feel that way, that's fine, but don't criticize and judge others just because they see things differently from you. While we're at it, stop prejudice and false information you got on the internet.


想像してみてください。
Imagine the following:


ドアを開けた途端に一斉に吠えだす、中にいる子達の悲鳴のような鳴き声
吐き気をもよおすような臭気
おびただしい数のハエ
The pained cries of the dogs barking as soon as you open the door.
A stench so bad you literally want to throw up.
An army of flies.

不衛生なケージの中で狂ったように吠え続ける子
ケージの隅にうずくまってぶるぶる震えている子
死期が近いのか横たわったまま身動き一つしない子
全てを諦めたような目でじっと見つめる子

The cries of a boy going crazy from the insanitary conditions of his cage.
A girl shivering in ball in the corner of her cage.
A boy laying still, on the verge of death.

The girl staring intently at you with eyes that have clearly given up all hope.

私がレスキューしているのはこういう子たちです。
These are the babies I'm rescuing,

そして、ペットショップでの生体販売が続く限りこういう子はいなくなりません

and the necessities of rescues like this will never go away until we stop the live selling of
these living being in pet shops.

トイプードルベビーズ+チワワ ～乱繁殖の被害者～

実は、今年に入ってすぐに立て続けにトイプードルの子犬の保護がありました・・・。

最初に我が家にやって来たのがこの２匹。

「トイプードル・大グループ」

男の子のトイプードルくんです。保護した子犬たちの中で一番大きいです。やんちゃで元気が有り余っている様子(^_^;)

両膝を脱臼していました。特に左後ろ足の脱臼が酷いと診察を受けたので、3月に手術をしました。

そして、この子。

女の子のトイプーちゃん。
この子は両膝を脱臼しています。手術は4月の予定です。

※　女の子のトイプーちゃんは無事卒業しました！
引き続き男の子の里親様募集中です！！


そして次にやって来た子犬ちゃん達はこの２匹。

「トイプードル・中グループ」

女の子のトイプーちゃん。

大人しめな性格。

目がおかしいのがお分かりでしょうか？
右目には眼球らしきものがありますが、瞼はなく見えていません。左目に関しては眼球自体ありません。

そしてこの子。

かわいいお顔をしているでしょ？

男の子のトイプーくん。

この子もわりと大人しいです。

この子は足に異常があります。

足の指がきちんと形成されてない上に、爪がおかしなところから生えてしまってます。

しかし、身体的な異常があっても、特に持病はなく、通院が必要な状態ではないので、近くこの２匹は里親さん募集をかける予定です(*^_^*)

※ 中グループちゃん達は無事卒業いたしました！

そして一番の最後の新入りのトイプーちゃんがもう１匹・・・。

一番小さなこの子は女の子のトイプーちゃん。

同じく膝の脱臼をしています。

体重が1㎏超えないと手術ができないので現在、大きく成長するのを待っています。

※　小ちゃんは無事卒業いたしました！

このトイプードルベビー達にお名前を付けてあげたいのですが、そこまで追いつかないし、名前のネタ切れ(T_T)とりあえず、「大グループのオス！」とか、「中グループのメス！」とか言いながら見分けをつけております（汗）

そしてチワワの男の子も我が家にやって来ました。

名前は「ポテト」くんです☆

右後ろ足が異常に変形しているのがお分かりでしょうか？？

この子は両後ろ足が形成不全で、足の指、爪がありません。

ですが、とっても上手に歩くことができます(#^.^#)そして意外にすばしっこい！！

この子たちは被害者です。

悪質なブリーダーがただ儲けたいというだけで、健康状態もよくない、不衛生な環境に置いた犬たちを近親交配させ、目が見えない（ない）子や、見た目はかわいらしくても精神的な病気や何かしら疾患を持った子を生み出しているのです。

パピーミルという言葉をご存じですか？

パピー（子犬）+ミル（工場）

恐ろしい言葉だとは思いませんか？

子犬たちを自然にではなく、機械的に生産している場所のことなんです。つまりは繁殖所ですね。

動物を生き物とも思わないで、商品（物）として扱い、狭く汚いケージに母犬を一生閉じ込め、無理やり妊娠（レイプ）させ、子供が産めなくなったら処分です。

メス犬に初めての繁殖期が来ると、何人かの人間で犬を押さえつけてオス犬が興奮するようにメス犬の尻尾を目の前で無理やり振らせて、無理やり交尾させるそうです。

残酷すぎて書くことができませんが、スムーズに交尾を終わらせるために人間がメス犬に酷い仕打ちをします。

その時のメス犬はあまりの痛さに悲鳴をあげるそうです。

生まれた子犬は母犬や兄弟とすぐに離され売り飛ばされてしまいます。

子犬の方が「売れる」からです。

それを買うのは誰ですか？

生まれつき疾患がある子は処分、疾患があっても子供が産めそうな子、作れそうな子は売りに出さずそのまま子犬製造機として死ぬまで使われます。愛情も、お散歩も、おいしいご飯も知らずに。

そこには「絶望」しかありません。

狭く、汚く、暗いケージの中でただ吠え続けるか、生きる気力なく何も感じることなく怯えて過ごすしかないのです。

ペットショップで子犬や子猫を買うとパピーミル、ペットオークションなどの悪徳業者にもお金が入ります。

知らない間に動物の虐待に手を貸していることになるのです。

一番大切なのは、ペットショップから生き物を買わない事だと思います。

本当に飼いたければ、きちんとした素性のはっきりしたプロのブリーダーや、保健所、きちんとした動物愛護団体さんなどから貰って下さい。

そして、こういった事実を知るのもとても大切です。

こんなパピーミルが存在するんだと分かれば誰もペットショップから動物を買おうなんて思わないし、そもそも、ペットショップで生体販売すること自体おかしいと気が付くはずです。

生きている命をお金で簡単にやり取りするのは普通なことですか？

春休みや夏休み、どこのペットショップでも「子犬・子猫フェア」を開催して、子供連れのお父さんお母さんを見ると「かわいいね、どの子がほしいの？」なんて会話をしていて本当に恐ろしいです。

そこで見るワンちゃん、ネコちゃんのママパパは絶えず子供を作らされ、売れ残った兄弟たちは処分されてるのですから・・・。

「知らない」とは恐ろしいことです。だから知ってください！

少しでも動物たちを救えるはずです。
